Interims invited to visit new website

13 October 2009

A new website has been launched to promote National Freelancers Day on November 23.

The event aims to acknowledge the contribution made to the UK economy by interim managers and other freelance professionals and contractors.

Coordinated by the Professional Contractors Group (PCG), National Freelancers Day will highlight the value of a flexible, agile and expert community to UK businesses, and show how to engage and work with interims and freelancers effectively.

It will also celebrate freelancing as a valid career choice, highlighting the community and support network whilst urging the Government to recognise that freelancers are in business and entitled to clear and fair taxation laws.

John Brazier, managing director of the PCG said the organisation is planning on making as much noise as possible to highlight freelancing and freelance issues.

Visitors to the website, which can be found at www.nationalfreelancersday.org.uk, will be able to find out more about the various events taking place to celebrate the Day and hear more from freelancers and organisations about the business of freelancing and what it means to them.

The PCG wanted to establish a special day for all freelancers so that this third way of working is recognised whilst celebrating the talents, achievements and worth of freelancers up and down the country, Brazier added
