Strategic Interim Manager, Healthy Weight, Healthy Lives

My client based in London is looking for a Strategic Interim Manager to enable this PCT and its partners to develop and agree a robust local action plan for delivery of Healthy Weight, Healthy Lives (HWHL).

Main duties

Main duties will be:
?To design and secure agreement to a local implementation structure for HWHL
?Conduct a baseline assessment of the full range of local activities relevant to the delivery of HWHL
?Carry out a gap analysis against the recommendations in HWHL Guidance for Local Area and prepare a draft action plan
?Develop the existing draft Obesity Strategy into a final HWHL Action Plan, to be presented to Council Cabinet and the PCT Board for approval in early 2009

Key skills

To apply for this role you must have:
?Significant project management skills and experience at senior manager level
?Significant experience of joint working between the NHS, local authorities, and the voluntary sector
?Working knowledge of the national policy context for reducing obesity rates
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills
