Procurement Strategy Manager

£500 to 600 per day

Playing a key role in their corporate procurement, efficiency and Value for Money agenda, this position will support procurement projects in their programme for organisational change.

Main duties

Responsibilities include:
?Acting as a Chief Advisor - taking a corporate lead on strategic procurement, efficiency and Value for Money issues
?Developing and implementing the Council's procurement strategy to meet both national and local agendas, monitoring its implementation throughout the Council.

Key skills

Candidates applying must have a successful track record of managing change and implementing alternative ways of working. You will have substantial knowledge of public policy issues, an understanding of local government and public sector procurement, efficiency and Value For money.
You will also have knowledge of the National and European procurement legislative framework.
