My client, a local authority is looking for a Principal Manager Community Services, People with Learning Disability to manage assessment, care management and purchase of social care services for people with a learning disability.
Main duties
Your main duties will include:
- To have overall responsibility for care management teams for people with learning disability
- Ensure that effective business processes, policies and procedures are in place to ensure positive outcomes for people with a learning disability
- Management of purchasing budgets for people with a disability, ensuring effective budgetary management, deployment of resources in line with approved priorities/criteria
Key skills
You need to have a knowledge and current thinking of aspirations for services for people with learning disabilities as well as a knowledge of relevant legislation and policy. You should also understand business planning and resource allocation process and have a knowledge of the contracting process and independent social care sector.
