Internal Auditor

Our client is a Local Authority they are seeking an internal auditor for a 5 month temporary contract.

Main duties

To contribute to the delivery of an effective and high quality Internal Audit Service that:
? Complies with relevant statutory requirements and professional standards (CIPFA Code of Internal Audit Practice)
? Supports the delivery of corporate priorities by providing assurance regarding the arrangements for managing risks
? Promotes continuous improvement

Key skills

The Internal Auditor will have full and current membership of the Institute of Internal Auditors/ Association of Accounting Technicians or CCAB body is desirable. A reasonable degree of audit experience is essential,also Public Sector background is desirable along with experience of working in a complex and diverse organisation.
