You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time when new ways of contracting with providers is being explored.
The main focus for the Purchasing Manager will be in the area of Social Care and you will be responsible for oversight of robust frameworks for purchasing and monitoring arrangements for social care services from external providers.
Main duties
Key duties will include:
?Taking a lead role in the development of the procurement strategy and on-going processes and procedures with providers of social care
?Leading on performance management including the arrangements between Adult Social Care & Health and the regulatory body
?Managing the range of contracts with statutory organisations and agencies
?Leading in negotiations of contracts between external and departmental services
?Working closely with strategic commissioning ? ass
Key skills
Candidates applying must have:
?An understanding of procurement and contracting for social care services
?Experience of multi-agency working
?Experience of partnership working, particularly independent sector providers
?Good management experience within social care
?Detailed knowledge of procurement/commissioning processes in a social care or health contact
