AD Commissioning- Acute Services

£550 to 600 per day

The post holder will lead on commissioning developments for acute services in relation to national and local development including HealthCare for London. Also, negotiate best value tariffs and activity levels with acute service providers through use of PBR flexibilities such as split tariffs and enhance leverage.

Main duties

Main duties will be:
?Lead responsibility for negotiating contracts with local acute service providers and monitor performance of these contracts to ensure delivery to agreed specifications.
?You will be responsible for effective commissioning and contract management of Acute Services.
?Lead on managing all acute service contracts during the year to ensure financial risk to the PCT is minimised, taking corrective action as necessary along with other partners.

Key skills

To apply for this role you must have:
?Significant experience in commissioning acute services.
?A proven track record of achievement in the development and delivery of improved NHS services through commissioning acute services.
?Strong PBR management skills and experience.
?Experience of rules of engagement in commissioning and contract management of acute services.
?The ability to initiate and influence high level partnerships and engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
